Our Story
Hi, I'm Scott Cornett president of Adventure Ready Services LLC.
Long before this company came into existence, I loved the outdoors and camping. I was blessed with 18 acres of woods for a backyard and many a summer weekend was spend camping overnight with my brothers and some friends in our backyard, along a local stream, or with my family in our classic Prowler travel trailer.
After graduating high school and college with a teaching degree, I was able to settle into a position teaching computers with the Warrenton School District. I then moved over to Hazelwood School Dist. and taught middle school English for 9 years, completed a Masters and Specialist Degree and then a final transition into middle school administration for the next 17 years. During this time I got married to my beautiful wife, Jennifer and we started growing a family, resulting in 3 boys and a girl.
Nearly all of our summer family vacations and outings centered around camping in state parks around Missouri, various places around the midwest, and some big trips to Iowa, Colorado, and Michigan. Jen and I started our family camping adventures, as most families do, starting with a tent. We then moved up to a pop-up and then finally a travel trailer. We currently have a 2016 34' Keystone Bullet Premier TT with a rear bunk house, but would love to saddle up a 5th wheel to my truck soon. Just not sure if we're quite ready for that adventure yet.
As I neared retirement in the summer of 2023, my wife and many others suggested I do something with repairing, modifying, and servicing RV's and campers. I have been known to spend a lot of time and money tinkering, modifying, and improving, not just our camper, but helping family and friends do the same to theirs...especially when I found a cool 'mod'. My wife would readily say I spend way too much time reading technical repair manuals, installation ideas, and YouTube videos over the years.
So as I headed into my last year as a middle school administrator, I moved forward with setting up the legal, financial, and material structures to form a mobile tech business. I credit my wife with coming up with 'Adventure Ready Services' as it was by far better than anything I conjured up. So far, I couldn't be happier with my decision. It's very gratifying being able to go out and help people, especially those in the camping world. To this point, I have not met anyone I didn't like or didn't want to get to know better. As I move forward with this new business adventure...my business model is to turn every customer into a new long-term friendship.
